Empowering You to Create the Future of Dietetics
Devon Golem, PhD, RD, LDN
Dietitian since 2003
Educator since 2006
Dietetics Education Consultant since 2016
Devon Golem, PhD, RD, LDN is the founder and lead consultant at CEED. Devon gained administrative experience early in her academic career. Like many department chairs and program directors, she found herself wishing that there was someone she could hire to help her with the countless tasks and in-depth planning assessment that were "side dishes" to her main duties as a faculty member. Someone to do some legwork, to be a sounding-board, to double check the fine print, etc.
"The most rewarding aspect of my work is helping people actualize their visions and run successful, fulfilling dietetics programs."
Devon networked with other program directors and found herself helping them with these same tasks. Although working with people is her favorite part of any job, she has a mind for systems, evaluation, and composition. When her husband was hired at another university in 2015, Devon knew exactly what she was going to do when she left her DPD director/faculty position. She created NOVEDGO, LLC doing business as (dba) the Institute of Continuing Education for Nutrition Professionals (ICENP) in 2016 with the idea of providing both CEU opportunities to RDNs and consulting services to program directors. Turns out that the dietetics education consulting was an untapped niche that led to the creation of dba Consulting for Excellence in Education of Dietetics (CEED).
Devon worked as a clinical dietitian for years before returning back to school to earn a PhD in Nutritional Sciences with an emphasis in Exercise Science. She found herself in management roles throughout her employment and attributes it to her methodical thinking, diplomatic manner, and personable nature. See her CV below to learn more.
